Hi there! I have been singing for over 25 years both professionally and recreationally. After 15+ years performing in the Broadway/Music Theatre community, I chose to teach the next generation of MT performers. With an MFA and MM from Penn State, I now teach at the University of Nevada, Reno, developing a new BA Music Theatre program. I am a Singer, Music Theatre vocal pedagogue, Vocal coach/director/arranger, Music Director/Conductor, Researcher, and some other stuff....See my CV and Bio below. But - It turns out you can do BOTH! I'm still performing regularly with regional theatres, symphony orchestras, traveling our Kander & Ebb Cabaret, and will be coming to a theatre near you while touring with the Broadway National Tour of Company. Exciting!!
I have performed around the world from theme park to Broadway to Carnegie Hall and have an undying love for storytelling through music and singing.
Classically trained but want to sing Music Theatre more authentically? What IS a 'belt' anyway? I am SO excited to introduce you to the other colors of your magnificent voice! That's why I became a teacher. I get so jazzed when I hear "Whoa! I didn't know I could do that!"
I offer private Voice Lessons, Masterclasses, Workshops, Presentations, Performances, and Mentoring in Musical Theatre vocal pedagogy.
